Started at 7:00 pm off dock in the arboretum. Caught a small sculpin right away jigging a bit of worm off a small dick night spoon. The bite was non-existent for another hour, then caught 4 perch (9") and 1 squawfish (12") with the same rig. The weather was blustery and my brother wasn't getting any bites bobber fishing and still fishing off the bottom. The bite here varies but the perch are very active and I talked to a man catching Bluegill (in addition to the perch) on the 29th. I have also caught small 8-9" cutthroat trout this month from the same dock. I am curious to know what other species lurk in this very fishy area. (carp, catfish, bullhead) My brother saw a large dead fish with a sucker type mouth while kayaking in one of the many channels in the arboretum on the 28th.
