Very slow. Six anglers, for one bite in three days! We fished Medicaid beach the first day. We saw one fish caught, probably 3 1/2#. Then out to the Hampton lakes, where we found yet another slow situation. From dawn until around noon, not a bite. I've fished off the same rock on lower Hampton for over twenty years, and I've never been skunked. I've seen it slow, but not dead. I talked to a guy that fished "my rock" the day before, and got a four pounder, but he didn't see anything else going on either. His group of sixteen only had a couple out of upper Hampton, and the were smaller fish. One guy I talked to in a boat said his fish finder was marking all kinds of fish in both upper and lower Hampton. We also fished coral, windmill, and any other lake that had the ice off enough to fish. Some of the lakes were completely iced over and some were completely open. The report sheets available at Mar Don were pretty accurate. I'm going over again next week for five days, hopefully
I'll have a better report! Buy the way, a friend of mine over there hasn't put his boat in the water since early September, and does just fine off the beach.
