I fished Dry Falls on Thursday for the first time. Did okay just off the access on chronies, black #14, in 15' of water. Lots of guys fishing the back bay, I assume with chronies, at least they were parked fly apron to fly apron along the south shore. Lots of chronies coming up in 25' of water at the entrance to the back bay. Fished it with a full sink line which produced some action, plus that area had some protection from the wind. It was the wind that moved me that way at about 11 AM. At about 4 PM the wind died down and I got to watch a guy take 12+ fish in about an hour just north of the access along the east shoreline. This guy knew his stuff. He would park his pontoon boat close to the reeds and fish parallel to them. He was only casting 20-30 feet of line. After he'd taken a few fish, he'd move down the shoreline and do it again. I was able to get some action by fishing the same general area with a Denny's Stillwater Nymph (damsel/scud combo pattern) but I wasn't as effective as he was.
