Head out right after work, got on the lake at about 6:30. Apparently a midge hatch had just ended. Almost out of the launch I nailed a 12" rainbow on a picket pin, then through a series of flies for the next hour, until I nailed another on the opposite end of the lake on a #8 black carey special. Fished that till just about dark when fish started rising again. I tried a black humpie, but got nothing, then it was too dark to tie on a midge, so I called it quits.
Stomach contents included a large (10mm) reddish midge larvae, a greenish (damselfly??) larvae, and a bee!
Hit it hard, and release that which you don't need.
