I spent the last week in the Sea Tac area on business.
I was lucky enough to be staying in a hotel across
the street from a park off Highway 99 fronting Angle
Lake.
The park, nicely kept up, has a nice fishing pier that
was well used in the two days I visited there. I only
fished on one day in the early evening and had no luck
throwing spoons for some of the planted trout there
and grubs for the Bass and Perch I was hoping would be
around.
I did see a few trout, up to 12 inches, caught off the
dock both nights. The anglers who caught them were
using powerbait with an incredibly long leader of six
feet plus! Fishing wasn't fast or furious, even for
them, but the weather was great (around 70 degrees
with the slightest of breezes and a warm sun).
All in all, a nice way to unwind after the business
day!
