I fished for a short time Friday evening all day Saturday and 3 hours on Sun. Sat. there was little wind, so a big plus. I caught numerous 7-9 inch. rainbows on a homemade spinner with the barb squeezed down. This years plants were very fat and did quite well this summer, so the April opener should be good. I only caught one decent size fish of 14 inches on Sat. and I saw only one other carry over caught all weekend. Everyone along the shoreline were using bait and throwing the little ones back, so once again I saw many dead fish floating on the water and providing the seagulls with plenty to eat. I was dissapointed with all the garbage along the shoreline, cans, bottles, gobs of fishing line etc. I watched a seagull fall out of the sky with no apparent reason. The only thing I could come up with was it got tangled up in fishing line and couldn't fly anymore. Please pick up your garbage!
