Put in at 7 Bays and headed down lake with the wife to catch some walleye and enjoy the nice weather. It took quite a while to find active fish but eventually we did and the bite was on! We managed to boat a couple limits of nice sized ones and throw back a few dinks in the course of about 3 hours. Average sized keeper was about 17in.
The fish were scattered over a long flat in 15-20 ft of water and were hitting blue and silver flicker minnows so hard we were having to do surgery to remove them sometimes. All their stomachs were empty and they aren't milting anymore which makes me think they are done spawning and should be eating aggressively for the next couple weeks. Perfect time to get out there catch some walleye.
We only saw 1 other person fishing in our area all day; I'm guessing everyone else was up the arm catching the 10 pounders;-)
All in all it was a great day. The weather was beautiful and we watched a black bear eating grass above us for most of the day.
