Went to Kalaloch to do some surf fishing yesterday on my way home from Seabrook. First I went to beach 4 and kept getting snagged as usual without getting anything, so I decided to go down to beach 1 and check it out. This turned out to be good choice. Got a huge Redtail Surfperch on the first cast and got hit every time afterwards when using bait, which was horse clams (the best surfperch bait by far). They were out there pretty far. Switched it up and decided to try a 2 inch motor oil grub with a spinner blade that was working during the summer, but didn't get anything. Caught many fish that were a much bigger average size than at Roosevelt Beach and ended up keeping 3, which brought my total for the trip to 10. I'm making sliders with them tonight. Overall beach 1 did not disappoint for me
