The wife and I went out for the spot prawn opener in area 11. We decided to try Beal point. We dropped our first sets too deep and found poor results. We decided to move in shallower to the 180ft range and we had a pot drift into ours tangling it up. The other boater was hauling their pot and dealt with the tangle but I noticed that my pot was now floating (thank goodness for the LD-2 drag bouy) in 500ft of water. We of cousre pulled it and it had the best haul of the day too bad it didn't get to fish longer. lol. We had a fun day on the water met some people on the ramp that did the same and a few that had better results. I was happy to have one good meal of fresh prawns as well as another day spent enjoying the puget sound. Tight lines!
