Was here for about 2 hours in the evening, fishing from the strip of land between them. I caught a nice channel cat in the south lake on worms. I was using a spreader rig, the kind normally used for crappie and perch. Didn't weigh him, but he was about 18 inches. The park attendant earlier in the year had a picture of a guy with a catfish he caught back in March, said to be about 8 pounds. The fish was so fat, it looked like a football! Anyway, the trout action seems to have slowed way down. Before I caught the catfish, I was using a dry fly with a casting bubble hoping to catch trout, but all I got were a few dinky sunfish. No one that I talked to had any, and there weren't very many rises that I could see once the wind calmed down. This lake tends to get fished out rather quickly. I did see one nice sunfish about 9 inches, but wasn't able to get him to bite on anything.
