Fished downstream from Lincoln around sterling, w. stone and a little beyond.
Decided not to keep any fish so no pictures...
Results:
-Strangely the 1st 7 out of 10 fish were all natives, one was so silver I thought it was going to be a Koke but looks can be deceiving.
-The native fish fought really hard and were good sized, averaged 20" largest of the day was 22"
-Caught and released several limits worth of hatchery fish but nothing over 19" average was around 16"
-1/3 of the total catch today were native rainbows
-Water was down a foot or two from last week; areas I caught fish last week were not as productive today, so I had to try other locations
-Most fish were between 15 and 30 feet
-Was a dark day so I used a lot of chartreuse
-Tried tipping some lures with prepared scented and dyed corn and maggots but it didn't make any difference
