You can't be a Rock Star every day!
We started shortly after 5am off Jefferson Point and expected to kill it but instead putted around spotting only a few, getting LOTS of seaweed on the line and catching nothing.

At 9am, we moved over to the oil docks and it was considerably less weedy and we were spotting fish and hooking up. Lots of smaller shakers but one really nice/bright king that we got in the net only to find it was indeed a native.

Finally threw in the towel at 11am with nothing in the cooler! :(

Expectations high and then reality bites. Just the way it goes. Enjoy those rockstar days because sooner or later the gods will put a whippin on you.

I generally stay away from Jeff Head on an incoming tide for exactly the same reason - too much seaweed. Outgoing is fine.

The oil docks were slow for us today too.
