A great day on the water to stay cool was just what was needed. We arrived early to deal with the small parking area & a shallow launch. The lake was very foggy but it blew out in a couple hours. We started the day trolling for trout & caught several along the surface with wedding rings & worms. The poor trout have some kind of parasite. All of em had these nasty open white sores on them. I didn't even want to handle them, they stayed in the net. Some had it so bad you would have thought it was a zombie fish! I would not encourage anyone to eat them. We eventually switched to target the bass. Most were caught on a Ned rig, and all looked healthy. I did hook one big enough to strip line, but she spit the hook before I could see her. I sure hope the parasite problem doesn't get out of hand at the great fishing lake.
