Tough day! Launched out of Hunters and went north to my usual spots. Worked hard for about 5 hours trolling for rainbows. Ended up catching one keeper on an OG1 2.44 in Perch. Also, caught and released one "Native" (unclipped hatchery?) long lining a jointed rapala in Fire Tiger. either way it was a beautiful fish. The pic doesn't really show it because I didn't want to take it out of the water, but it was every bit of 4 pounds. I guess that is one good benefit to releasing those fish. Eventually people are going to start catching some true monsters out of there in a few years as those released fish continue to grow. Weather was supposed to be nice, and I suppose it was other than the wind that cut to the bone. I wish I had a top and a heater on days like that. Either way it was better than being at the house.

Thanks for the report. We were out on the 16th also, you caught 2 more fish than we did. Yep those big natives are fun and as you say it was better than staying home.

Sounds Like maybe I need to up my rating if I out-fished the Legendary PART-TIME. A true accomplishment in my book ;)

Out fishing me is no big deal, you need to set your sights high for sure. I just like being there, what a great place to fish. Keep telling myself I need to expand my boundaries and go look for Browns or something but it always just easier to head back down to some place I'm comfortable with. Going up to Split Rock was new territory for me. The Kokanee should get good soon. I hope.
