Was eager to get out and enjoy blue skies and clean air again. A half day fly fishing for Rainbows seemed like a great and relaxing pursuit. Went up to Davis and had the whole lake to myself. Water temps were still in the mid 60's and most fish were still holding below the thermocline. I used a full sink line with a blob/scud combo to get down to them and had very consistent action. I also managed several trout on booby flies and chironomids as well. Nothing big but still nice to get out.

Hey Upland, it's the "Gator" again, first of all, always good to watch your videos, very informative and read your reports, kinda off the subject of trout, have you been noticed the number of Fall Chinook coming over Wells dam, and do you think these chinook would be worth fishing for in the Brewster pool, I mean are they truly Fall chinook or are they summer chinook that have been in the Columbia river system for awhile and are not good any longer to eat, really value your opinion on this, was thinking that if they are truly fall chinook they would be in excellent shape to eat and fish for???

I don't think they are true "fall chinook" but rather very late summer Kings but I'm not really sure how they will cut. Might be worth investigating.
