My wife asked if I would take her out salmon fishing for her birthday so of course Im am going to take her up north to Seattle area 10. We headed out at first light fishing just north of meadow point. I get the first rod set up at 45 feet trolling a tube fly at 3 mph. Im setting up or second rod and as im dropping it down I see the other rod pop out of the clip out of the corner of my eye. Less than 10 minutes of fishing my wife is battling her first fish.
A few minutes later we are on another one! We ended up hooking a few dinks, then lost what I think was a big king. Had about 30-45 minutes of no action. I happen to see a bait ball with a few good looking marks around it. I tell my wife if one hits it should happen right about.... wham fish on! Land that one, circle back around and hooked the 4th one of the day! Ended up being a great morning of time well spent with my wife. She caught a limit which was a nice bonus. Tight lines!
