This is a tale of two reports...
Day One - fished with my wife JoAnn and dogs for kokanee. Using techniques that had prior got us 5 beautiful kokanee, this time we came up empty. One bite and the hook broke! We fushed from 645 to 1130am.
The next day, fished with Barry and Hanna from the web site and made a couple adjustments as suggested by Barry. Most importantly being increasing the setback from 40 to 100 feet. That was the ticket as we went 7 for 10. Bute shut down at 1030 as the pleasure boats turned the lake into a washboard.
The fish were mostly deeper on Sunday, around 40-45 feet. A God's Tooth lure with a piece of corn was the ticket!
Thanks to Barry and also DJ Butler for getting me back on track. You're never too old to make adjustments to your game!
Beautiful kokanee to be had on lake Washington. Troll speed 1.5 to 1.8 was best...
