I started at Dash Point. I got a parking spot but there wasn’t one for my son so we went to Des Moines. Dock was packed and later someone told me the end was filled up by 5:30am.
We took a space not very far out on the dock. Within 20 minutes my son had a legal Red Rock but it didn’t have any claws. We got there about 9:30am and the tide was coming in. We left at 12 and that is when my son told me that he doesn’t like crab. He was fishing for salmon in between pulls. No salmon at this dock but he hooked a couple small ones at Dash Point last week. I don’t remember seeing anyone w/o a mask. Lots left with what looked like zero crab. I didn’t see any Dungeness. But we left with 5 Red Rock and the people by us left with 4. We were there the same amount of time. It’s enough.
The people had a hard time trying to get the pay gate to let us out. Don’t know if it means anything but if they stood outside of the vehicle it took a long time. Inside not so long. I sat there long enough to see several go through or not (me) the person in front of me.
