Posting belatedly so my notes are scant, but pictures stir the memory.

Unfortunately, K had to work so P and I struck out for the lake. Hard to pass up a rare calm water day.

We had a steady day of bites. P. boated 9 trout and I had 6 trout and one bass. Several of the trout (not pictured) were really nice. P. boated a 16 incher and I had the largest on which seemed like a mile out from the boat, jumped multiple times and was gone. But at that distance we both said he was the big one that got away.

The weather was around 70 degrees, the water 70F and the wind calm. Rather than tying to the shore for a lunch break we just floated in the middle, fired up the barbecue and enjoyed the feast. (What a contrast to 5/28 when we trailered to the lake and turned around and went home without launching because it was so windy.)

16 caught and released today. A super day of fishing.
