Once again launched out of Porcupine Bay and headed up the Arm. I was with my buddy Glenn and a friend of his Mike. Mike is new to walleye fishing so we did our best to impart some of the TTPs we use for catching walleyes on Roosevelt. It started raining the moment we got out of Glenn's truck and didn't stop until 1400; it was a very wet day.

We fished from Porcupine Bay up to buoy 5 and back. It was a very slow day. We jigged some of the same places that produced for us the weekend prior; we would pick up a random eye but it was very slow going. There was a little bit of current but not much; last weekend we had quite a bit of current early that had the fish really turned on. We threw jigs, blade baits, drop shots and spoons. Only jigs worked and no one color seemed better than any other.

We had caught about 15 eyes by 1400. Mike had about a 7 lb. eye almost to the boat when it did a nice head shake and said goodbye. He admitted he didn't get a very good hookset into it; it would have been the nicest fish of the day. By the time we made it back to Porky it was around 1500. Glenn took us to one of the spots we use to fish quite often, not sure why we stopped, and in about 30 minutes we doubled our catch for the day. Water visibility was about 6 feet and water temp was 39.1. We fished in 25-70 FOW.
