The Virnita bridge area has continued to give up limits for my guests and I. Some days it is easier than others, but I find the challenge as part of the fun. I’ve been targeting the deeper holes with my superbaits. On several occasions I have taken off the flasher and just dropped down a super with a lot of success. Hot tamale is beginning to be one of my top producers as of late.I typically pair this with a red or a green flasher, but as I said running it solo has also been productive. Later in the afternoons when the fish start to ignore my Superbait offerings we have been having good success backing eggs into tight pods of fish.I love fishing this section of the river. The beauty of it is an experience in itself.
