Last minute decision to hit Lake Stevens in the morning. Started fishing about 7am using Elgin Fishing God's Tooth dodgers paired the God's Tooth spoon kokanee trolling rigs. Firetiger and an Orange top with white tape (50/50 prototype) patterns got the job done. God blessed with a limit of 10 kokanee which averaged about 14"-15" and were in good shape and fat. This time of year the fish fight really hard and are feisty!

I found the fish at 40' and began using a 10" leader. After the third fish, I changed out to a 16" leader and increased my speed from 1 mph to 1.6 mph and that seemed to be the ticket!

For those contemplating fishing Lake Stevens, the fish should be in good shape for another 10-14 days before they turn into full spawn mode. The video below shows some action for the day and wishing all tight lines!
