Well I gave the upper river a shot today. Found a nice slot with coho and King’s rolling all over the place. Fished eggs and twitching jigs for three hours to no avail. Finally caught a small chinook jack, that was of course released before calling it quits. Anyone have any success of eggs lately?

Same story here...I used both eggs and twitchin' jigs today just below and above 212th...Saw a number of fish rollin' and jumping but no takers. Gonna post my own report here a little bit later this evening.

Are pinks still in the river? I'll be visiting from out of state and hoping to fish some of my old favorite spots on the green. Would love to catch and release pinks if they're still in the system.

If you stay up high near Soos Cr. you might run into a few...Pretty small pink run this year...Might be a few stragglers still entering the mouth but lately just mostly been seeing the resident 3lb coho.

Small run? Actually it turned out much better than expected, did you fish the Puyallup at all? It was on fire in August, I heard of some guys landing more than 30 fish in a day! But the nets went in, and so did the large numbers of fish.

It did turn out better than expected but still a small run compared to most years. Nets definitely make quite an impact.

Quite a few up still in the upper river but they’re pushing up fast. In a few day I’d say they’ll all be spawned out.
