Dash Point Pier 8-26-19
I started out by getting up at 3:30am and I was there when the gate clicked open at 6am. The sun was coming up and it was supposed to be a nice sunny but not to warm day (high 70’s low 80’s).
The plan had been to go out to king corner since the last time my brother, Richard, and sister in law, Kim, were there 5 had been caught. Well, someone saw a fish on the way out and they stopped midway. I did not get that memo. Shortly thereafter a woman caught a pink at their point on the dock. After a while of nothing happening for me I moved over by my brother where I broke the tip off one of my rods. Kim caught the first pink between us and she lost 4 pinks as well as losing a jig to one of them. Her last fish she was able to get in came after I left.
One boy, fishing next to my brother, aged about 10, limited within an hour. My brother netted both of his fish for him. His rod looked like the advertisement for ugly stick (it wasn’t) the way it was bent over and he couldn’t see over the railing to help get it in the net. Another family of 3 who came after we did limited before I left. Richard limited out first in our group.
The schools were spotty at first then started to come in heavy about 10:30 to 12:30 when I left empty handed.
This was my fishing story and others catching story.
Tides were Low 8:03 AM -0.4 High 3:54 PM 10.5 Low 9:00 PM 7.3
