My son and I slept in and launched from Everett on Sunday, motored past the masses around Shipwreck, and dropped crab pots in Browns Bay. After we got the last pot down, we started trolling right around there for pinks and had the first fish on within 5 minutes of getting our gear down. There were fish jumping and plenty of catching. We got our limit in 1.5 hours (including a couple released fish) and caught fish both by trolling and by casting/jigging, fishing from about 11:30am to 1pm.

On our way back up to Everett we saw lots of fish jumping and nearly every boat we passed had a fish on.

The only reason I gave this report 4 stars instead of 5 is that the crabbing wasn't great. Only one keeper dungeness between 4 pots (but they were only soaking a couple hours).

I was out on 8/24 and dropped 4 pots in Browns Bay as well, dropped pots around 9AM and retrieved around 1:30PM. All pots were using chicken and salmon carcasses for bait. Crabbing was not great.

First pot (located 47.843041, -122.348352 at the very southern end of the bay at the "corner" where the land juts out again) was completely clogged with kelp and had one red rock.

Next two (located north of wastewater plant) undersized dungeness and a few red rocks.

Last pot (47.862732, -122.337327) had two keepers.
