My wife JoAnn and I with our dog Diesel got to spend a relaxing weekend at Liar's Cove. The weather was perfect and the resort was peaceful and quiet.

Both the lower and upper lakes are down this year, about 8-10 feet. The kokanee and haven't gone anywhere though and they are bigger than ever! I ran two rods off downriggers, using standard kokanee set ups. The hot depth on the lower lake was 25 feet, on the upper the lower third of the lake by the dam at 35 feet was full of fish.

I didn't get the numbers but got quality. Lower lake produced a beautiful 15" fish and the upper gave up a monster, 18.5" kokanee. Wow!

Dutch Fork Custom kokanee blade on the 15" and a new Old Goat double spinner on the 19" fish. Sweet!

Should be pretty amazing fishing in the next couple weeks with a chance at a trophy size kokanee!
