My father/son guest’s goal for the day was to make a few more memories together before the son headed off to college. We had a beautiful day on the water, and fortunately the fish were quite cooperative.

We launched from Fort Spokane and dropped lines just past the marina. My plan A was to target the Kokanee, however they have been harder to find in the last week. If I were to rate this report just based on the kokanee fishing I would have given it a three. We ended up finding two kokes. Both of them or 18 to 19 inches and appear to be next years spawners. Beautiful specimens for sure. Since the Kokanee weren’t participating, we scrapped plan A and moved on to “plan B”. Plan B is simple. Catch whatever is willing to bite. Fortunately we had some beauties willing to fit into our plan. The walleyes were caught jigging a lead head and night crawler. We released the 7 pounder and kept the others for eating. Overall we had a great time. Thanks fellas for spending the day with me.

Wow. I want to take my daughter out tomorrow. Maybe ask how deep it far off bank they are now? I don't have a depth finder. I just want to put her on some fish and try out my new trailer. Plus stay away from pleasure boaters thanks

The rainbows around Fort Spokane were about 35-45’ deep. It was pretty good between there and 7 bays.
