Lake Roosevelt is such a beautiful place with so much to see. I feel pretty spoiled to have fished with guests the last 5 days. Overall the bite has been pretty decent. Not super fast fishing, but really consistent. I found the evening bite to be the best for us. Fishing 60 and 80’ deep was most productive, even on days we weren’t marking fish past 65’. We were a few fish shy of Kokanee limits, but did manage 51 Kokanee over 5 days. When the bite is slow we would reduce the number of lines in the water to 3. It seemed like giving the fish fewer options increase our productivity. These fish are absolutely gorgeous. I’m going to miss them during my Salmon season, but I will return and chase them this fall.
