Got out to Shilshole launch early, and my van promptly broke down halfway down the ramp. Big thanks to the folks who tried to help with jumper cables, volt meters, tools, and advice. I promise to pay it forward to the next fisher I find in need.
Couldn't get the van started after all though. Had to call the tow truck. Got the van and boat and trailer towed off the ramp. Unhitched the trailer and said bye to the van for now. Transferred the gear to my buddy's car. Went home to get the SUV. Got the SUV, headed back to Shilshole. Hitched up, and finally got out on the water about 8:30 or so.
Fished around Meadow Point with hootchies and coho killers. We hooked six, got four in the boat for our limit. We had to work for that last one once the tide slacked. They were in various FOW from 200 to 600, but most we hooked with about 60 feet on the wires. Getting near but not in the weeds seemed to help.
Felt good to salvage the day. The coho grilled up nicely. Good luck out there. Thanks again to the good samaritans. Stay safe.
