In the first two weeks after opening day at Park Lake Rainbow fishing is at its best. We caught 18 fish between the two of us and our licenses on May 1st and 2nd. The biggest one I caught was 18 inches which was on Balls O Fire salmon eggs while still fishing near the shore. We caught 1 18 incher, 3 17 inchers, 2 16 inchers, and 5 14-15 inchers stillfishing with eggs, worms, or chanteuse Power Bait. While trolling we picked up 2 17 inchers, 1 16 incher, 2 14 inchers, 1 12 incher, and 1 10 inch 'bow. We trolled gang trolls with 3 or 4 blades with pink, orange, or yellow rooster tails or Spin 'n' Glows with rainbow Power Bait. We also trolled Mepps spinners, Yellow and orange Dick Nites, and size 3 and 4 frog pattern Kwikfish. We also caught a 1 pound largemouth Bass while stillfishing with worms along with our 18 Rainbows. Its great!
