On my way to some fishing in Idaho. Round lake, on Aennas Valley road, is a dumpy looking little lake that looks like a watering hole for cattle.
Do not let that fool you though. I always do very well here for rainbows. In past years the water level has been very low, boat ramp has been unusable.

The level is up well, and ramp is great. I was staying at Bonaparte lake resort, and that was my prime fishing objective, but after a rough rainy night in a tent, and more AM rain, I turned tail to come to Round lake.
The fishing was steady but not lights out. I released 4-5 fat bows, in just an hour. 15” , but FAT, airborne displays, etc. fish came on trolling large streamers with a wiggle fin, as well as some similar to wedding ring kind of spinners. Check this lake out. It won’t disappoint.
