Fished Moses Lake from about 6:30 to 9:30 PM. It was amazing how the bite went "on" right at dusk for a short while, allowing me to hook and lose one while several nearby anglers also hooked up.
Shortly before 9 PM things got better. I caught two walleye in about a half hour. The first was a legal hen (about 19 inches and 2 pounds) full of eggs that I let loose. The second was a small 14 incher.
The tool of choice was a half ounce "blade bait", a fish shaped blade in various colors with a lead head produced by Luhr Jensen. The Walleye seemed to like it far better than anything else offered.
If you go, dress warm and consider fishing at night when they seem to get active.
