Opportunity knocked on Friday so I headed down to the big lake to see if I could find some cutties. Havent been there in a while. Launched at Kenmore and headed to the south end. Its a bit of a hike but was worthwhile.

Fished around south tip of Mercer, mid lake and off the mouth of the Cedar River. Only place I found fish was off the mouth of the Cedar. Marked on the hot spot map. Ended up with 5 to the net like the one in the pic. Kept one and C&R the others.

Fish were in 70-80 fow and 15-30 feet down. Tried a couple different setups but orange/yellow Assassins and a gold spinner with a slow death hook got it done. Both behind a flasher like the one in the pic and worm chunk. Bout 12-14 in leader and appx 100-150 feet back.
