A slower day than yesterday. No coho this time, but four cutthroat. I fished the same spot, and same depth (50'). The Reli lure and kokanee killer were ignored today, so I switched to God's Tooth spoons. Three of the fish responded to the blue/chrome and one to the frog. On Saturday, I went 4/8. Today it was 4/4. The water is still pretty chilly, and I'm hopeful the fish will become more active when the temp comes up a few degrees.

Thanks for your report and support! Really appreciate you giving the God's Tooth some work and glad to see you had success despite the cold water!

It may be a tad early for the God's Tooth to take any victory laps. I'd love to tell you they're my new favorite lure, but I fished them both today for several hours with no hits whatsoever. After trying a number of other lures, I switched back to the Reli, and immediately boated the only fish I hooked today - a feisty 16" cutthroat. To be fair, I only have the two GTs, and neither is the same color as the Reli (fluorescent green), so it's possible that a GT in the same color would have fared better.

I misspoke in my original report. The second GT is the perch pattern, not the frog.

Another really slow day on Wednesday. I fished from about 3:30 until 6:00. Went 1/1. Tricked dark Wicked lure, bright green spoons, God's Tooth in blue/chrome and perch, and whatever else I could think of. I finally connected with one small cuttie using a UV green Rocky Mountain dodger and a matching green Reli spinner. He was cleanly hooked, so I let him go. No other boats in sight. That green Reli spinner has accounted for my last two fish on super slow days. I've fished a variety of depths and speeds, but virtually everything has come at 1.25-1.40mph and 50' on the downrigger.

I'd welcome any tips to motivate these reluctant critters.
