Bass club had a pre-season fish date @ Duck lake.
Mostly reporting here because some of us within the forum have talked about the water quality changing over the last 10-12 years at Duck lake.

So... the fishing pretty bad. Maybe 10 boats in the tourney. No bass at the weigh in. I think 3 trout were caught. I believe one was 3+ lbs.
Water temp 45 degrees. Water is SUPER sorta muddy looking. In the summer it often is thick as Split pea soup, with a FUNKY algae bloom. There is a lot of micro small organic matter in the water. I wasn’t impressed at all. Launch and parking are pretty good.

That is sad. I haven't fished Duck for a long time - back in the 1980s and it was great fishing at that time.

Yep, it's a dead zone. Pretty cold water would make for tough conditions anyway but that lake sucks.

This lake was poisoned some ten years ago by the city of ocean shores. The mayor hired an outside pesticide control company to kill the weeds and they over dosed the lake. This lake is not worth fishing for bass anymore. The city killed it. This lake used to hold 9# bass. Thanks to the stupid *^*&%&^$&^$%* city its dead and probably will never come back.

Thanks for the follow up, Bigfish43. Yeah, that is a shame for the locals over there. Loosing a nice lake.
