After reading Carey, and G-man’s reports from the prior weekend, decided to get out this weekend and see if I could duplicate their results. Got on the water Saturday afternoon, launching out of the Kenmore launch. The wind was definitely a challenge but was able to locate some schools out in about 70ft deep water. After we caught our first fish using some powerbait it was enough meat to use as bait the rest of the afternoon and turned the bite on pretty steady as long as we could stay over them with the wind pushing us around a good bit. Ended the day keeping a little under 30 fish, which I would call a decent day all in all. Can’t wait to go again...hopefully Mother Nature will play a little nicer next time.

When you found the school, where were they located?

The wind sure made it feel like we were on the other side of the mountains. Beeler5 the fish were right next to the bottom, almost like looking at weeds on the sonar.

Did you have to use down rigger to get 70ft down?

No down riggers just a drop shot setup with enough weight to get down there in a reasonable amount of time but light enough to still have some feel when you get there.
