Finally made it to Banks again as I assumed fishing would be slowing on the Spokane river side.. it was a good call. We launched at Coulee City around 7:30 as usual for our 1st day of fishing.. it was blowing hard.. nothing new in the mornings there.. no one would go out in the rough water.. there were 4 rigs in the parking area only.. I seen it worse so launched the boat and headed out.. getting a real nice shower of spray on the way.. a great way to wake up in the morning. waves breaking over the bow trying to troll along.. yay.. its a great day at banks =) . 5 minutes in 1st fish. 19" eye.. thing were looking up .. by 11 am we had 6 in the boat 19-23" .. wind still blowing at 30 or so .. tough trolling .. speeds varied from 0 to wakeboard speed.. depths - who knows... I was either on ground or in 50 FOW. I tried to concentrate in the 20 FOW range when I could.. gold spinners and bouncers seemed to be the ticket.. and then it quit.. the bite that is.. not the wind.. it didn't give up till about 2pm and it clouded over. with the wind died down we could finally move about the lake better and headed for some more hopefully productive areas.. did a color change to silver and or some crayfish colors.. and WHAM.. the bite was back in force.. limiting out the two of us in the next few hours.. nothing smaller than 19 most were 20-22 inch only two fish caught that were in the 13 or so range.. released to grow up. don't know where all these bigger ones came from all of a sudden but I wasn't complaining. afternoon fish seemed to be in much closer.. 8-14 FOW and weeds are growing so ya get a few of them as well . never lost site of the landed at coulee city this trip.. always nice when you don't have to go to far.

Sunday was a bit different. winds were near nil in the morning when we launched.. deciding to stay on the south end since fishing was so good. no wind.. slow bite.. when it did start to pick up . noonish or so .. the bite started once again.. scooped up 8 for the day and decided that was enough as It a long ride home and work calls in the morning. . looks like banks is here for the summer now.. will let ya know next weekend if its still up.
