I work for millersylvania State Park and was driving by the public fishing dock at the boat launch with a state vehicle this morning and saw a young fisherman swinging a bass up onto the dock and had to go and investigate what he was using and found out that he had a simple stick with some line tied onto the end of it with a hook baited with salmon eggs. I asked him if I could take his picture for an web site (WashingtonLakes.com) for a lake report. Chris was his name who is 12 and a half said that yesterday he caught a few BlueGills on the same setup. I'm going to enter him in the Pacific Northwest Outdoors fish picture contest and have John Kruse,The web site writer, send to Chris any prize if he wins. You should have seen his face light up when I asked him for his picture for this lake report. He doesn't know that I'm entering him in the contest so if he does win I would like to see his face then.
