Fished the north end of the lake trolling at about 1.5 mph in 6-12 FOW with side planers. I spent 3 hours fishing and caught a total of 6 walleye. Five fish were between 16 and 17" and one was 24" (released). The magic ticket for me as a home made copper color smile blade spinner rig. The fish seemed to bite way better when the sun was going behind the clouds.

Great to hear from you WBD! It's been a while. It's looking like the customary 1.0 MPH is proving to be on the slow side right about now. Sounds like you had a decent time out there. No sign of your fishing buddy. Please pass on greetings!
Our spring trip this year has been postponed to the weekend of June 8-11, but we'll be centered on Banks. Of course we'll have to hit Deep at least once and plan of fishing another couple of lakes as well. Thanks for turning me/us on to that. Any chance you might might be able to get out that way then? So far there should be 4 boats and 6 people coming.
Keep the reports coming. They give a good idea of the status of things your way!

Thanks for the report, currently trying to decide between there or Banks for this upcoming weekend.

The group will be out there this weekend 8-11. The first 2 days we'll be fishing the Banks area and the last 2 either Moses Lake or Potholes. It would be great to connect! Drop me a line!
