Hit up Rattlesnake Lake after work today since it seems like the last calmer day for a while. Launched about 3:30pm and left at 7:00pm

Water was OK but the winds were predicted to pick up as the day wore on. Fair amount of action right away when I reached my Fishing area, about the middle of the lake. I noticed the night before that 2 rods are Ok at this lake, so I brought two and had an orange plug on one rod and a double Spoon rig on the other with a larger split shot attached to it. Color was Orange/Pearl Upper spoon and Copper/Orange Lower Spoon.

Right away the plug was getting the action while the spoons were pretty quiet. Got one on the spoons before I traded it out for another plug. Orange was the winner today as no other color put up much of a fight.

I easily got my largest fish from the past Week of fish at Rattlesnake , which was a nice 16” fish that was very heavy. Best fight to date too! Just like yesterday, the largest fish if the day had been caught before but was able to beak the main line and get away. This time the leader was threaded thru the lower jaw with a hook hanging loosely below jaw but not attached to the fish. The other end of the leader was a snap swivel to a busted main line. Notice the black spot under the lower jaw. It must be an infection caused by the line.

I also ran into a 20 year veteran of the lake today who I had talked with briefly when I got blown off the water about 3 weeks ago. He is very friendly and full of information. I gave him a Gold Plug of mine to try his next few trips out there.
