Have not fished Lake Sammamish for several weeks and had been reading that the overall bite has gone fairly dormant. The weather forecast looked good, so what the heck, thought we would give it a go. Did not hit the water until nearly 10:00 AM and dropped our line just north of the weather buoy. Fished for plus on hour so we headed north were we in a short time frame picked up two 16-17 inch chrome Cutties. The bite was ultra light and we had in total two we lost, five drive by's and six in the cooler. Three of the six netted all had hooks that came out when the fish were in the net. We were fishing 60 feet back and 15 feet on the down riggers at 1.5 MPH. Super light bits but overall it was an incredible blue-bird day and we had enough action to maintain great smiles and good cheers.
