Fished at Les Davis Pier last night. No action before 9.00 pm and then non stop until we left. Had fun jigging and reached my limit the first time.
Only thing I did not like is some guys' fishing etiquette.
One young couple put two poles 12 feet apart and claim the space between poles were theirs and would not allow others near them. Appreciated if you brought a generator to the pier to attract squid. But this is a public pier and it is not cool to claim the space more than you need on a crowded pier.
A few other guys already got bucket full of squid, which is more than 10 lb limits. Dump the squids in the coolers in their cars and came back for more.
The squid is only a buck or two per LB in grocery store and fishing suppose to be recreational sport. If let greedy gets in the way, it is not fun any more.
