Dang! Hit the lake at about 7:45 and dropped the downrigger right out of Coulon. Hit the usual spots and right down the center of the lake. I tried deep and shallow. I tried about every combo that has 'usually' worked. I changed speed (some) and depth. I tried fishing next to shore shallow and deep. The only thing I caught was some Bass and Perch.
Found a MONSTER group of Perch and fished that for a few hours as the wife instructed me to "Bring home some Perch for taco's". Anything to make her happy!
I could see fish at different depths and adjusted depth and rig then would run back through the area. Nothing made them interested. I hope someone had some luck. I saw other boats around so it could be I just missed the magic combo.
