So I was rigged heavy on the off chance I hook a King. I never fish this river due to the snags and limited beach . But alas the Puyallup is closed half the week now. Caught one on my first cast. It was a decent sized pink. Cant complain . Smoked him up for some dip later . People were catching some kings pretty steady through the morning matching the high tide. Most of the fish went back due to snagging though. Good mix of kings and pinks going up river. This was by the handi cap area fishing the River bend camp group. But id suggest not fishing there due to them charging 10 DOLLARS A PERSON. 10 dollars a car I get but damn per person that's redic. I remember when you could fish there for free 10 years ago . Fishing corkies and yarn green corkie black yarn , a lot of the king I saw being caught on red corkies and black yarn also

The picture you have is a "native" king salmon. It is against the law to retain these on the Nisqually.

That’s definitely a pink, as evidenced by the huge spots on the tail and tiny scales. Learn to identify the fish you’re catching before harping others about poaching.
