The Day began spectacular, Myself and my younger brother ventured out to perch point, on Potholes resevoir. absolute calm waters and being early A;m no algae bloom. We used a combonation of mikes Glo mello's (garlic scent white) and Red wigglers. shore fishing, using about 18" of leader on a slip sinker setup. we started just after daylight and continued until it got hot and the green slime began to appear, around 1pm but by then we had caught 4 shiney female Rainbow Trout all in the 3-4 lb. range and trust me these fish had absolutely no softness or algae taste to them, they apparently stay out in the cool depts then come in close in the AM. we went back just before dark but caught nothing! so its apparently an early morning fishery until later in the fall. from our experiences with Perch point is around late september - Ice up the fishing is an all day event, and folks its well worth the wait because these Trout will snap a line of novice anglers so be careful! for Washington Lakes .Com this is fatboy Rog have a great fishing trip, and don't forget the kids
