After a stone cold skunk on "the bubble" Friday I think we hit the honey hole in MA-10 on Saturday. The fish gods were good to us, the weather and water gods not so much. The tin cup was not happy.
We only got a couple hours of fishing in toward the end of incoming tide but it was great. Ended up 3 in the boat for 6 fish on. Buddy Bruce did better than I did, nice Chinook and a big fat pink in the pic. I ended up with a small coho, lost fish, snapped leader and two crab pots. Way it goes some days. When the tide switched the bite just stopped, so we bounced our way home. Long friggin bumpy ride to Everett!
Fished the north end of Kingston Bay to the MA-10 border in 80-120 feet of water, 75 feet of cable. Dont remember what flasher, probably a Red Racer and/or purple haze, 42 inch leaders. Caught fish on a Coho Killer Herring Aide pattern, Old Goat 2.8" OG-2 and the just released Old Goat 3.9" OG-2. Both Old Goats in the blue/black pattern. The new Old Goat 3.9" OG-2 has got an amazing candlefish/needlefish action, think probably the best I have seen in my short saltwater career. Really looking forward to winter Blackmouth. (never thought I would say that!)
Tight lines
Randy
