Maybe these are the "dog days of fishing" or maybe it was not my day. Worked hard for the one trout I netted. Bought some new lures based on other fishermen's reports and what they used, so thought I'd give my wedding ring a rest and try them. The black hoochie got one hit until it tangled in something and was separated from my line. Next I tried a lime green God's tooth - caught my one lonely trout on this new lure.

With only a couple more hits and no fish I went back to the tried and true lures for me...still nothing. Lots of fish showing on the screen but wanting nothing to do with what I was offering them. They were hanging out anywhere from 30-50 feet of water. I was thinking I was getting pretty good at this Lake Sammamish game, but now I'm questioning that. There will be another day.

Thanks for trying the God's Tooth and your report. Did you try any other patterns or just the green color? I was told green is not a good color for this lake so I used 50/50 blue, perch, 50/50 gold and 50/50 pink moon jelly (used tape) patterns . All set ups were the kokanee trolling rigs (double hooks). I'm no expert though as I have fished the lake twice. I caught the fish at 50' and used 50' setbacks.
