First time out crabbing in my new boat. We headed out to bellingham bay and got the pots set just before noon and by 4pm we were off the water with our 3 limits and we even had to throw some keepers back. We fished with 3 pots, i had no depth finder because i forgot an important cable, but i think we were in 50-60 FOW. It was a calm beautiful day and we had a great time.

I went out on a friends sailboat out of cap sante (Anacortes) on Saturday and people were carrying overflowing buckets of crab up the docks there, so I'd say most people are off to a killer start in MA7 South.

That is a sweet rib, I am looking for one too. How easy is it to load full of pots and take out crabbing?

The boat is 14' and has a flat aluminum, tongue and groove floor. Plenty of space for buckets, pots and gear. We only have 3 pots at the moment and we collapse them in transit, so there was plenty of room for 4 of us and all the gear and coolers we brought along.

The boat is actually not a true RIB, once the tongue and groove floor comes out the only rigid part remaining is the transom. I roll the whole boat up around the transom and the boat, floor, motor, and gear all go inside my Ford Escape. Its the perfect boat for apartment living!!
