Decided to give Martha Lake a try. This lake is under selective gear rules and as such, took me a few lost fish to figure out how to bring them in. Used Elgin Fishing God's Tooth spoons with the most effective patterns being 50/50 blue, gold shiner and pink top. Did catch a fish on perch and yellow top as well. Started fishing at 10:15am and began flatlining the spoons with about 50' set backs. It was cloudy when I began fishing but when the sun came out, the fish went deeper and found fish between 10'-15'. Used a 6 ounce pinch weight to get the spoons down there. God blessed with 17 fish and losing an additional 5 or 6. The fish seemed to range from 10" to 13" with a 15" being the big one for the day. The photo is the 15 incher.

The video below shows some action for the day and special footage beginning at the 7:55 mark. Wishing all tight lines!

Enjoy your videos.
Can you explain about the 6 oz. pinch weight please.
I don't understand . How does that work?
Thank you!

The pinch weight set up I use is take a 6 oz cannonball weight and attach a 1" long duo lock snap (there is a photo of one on our website). Attach the snap to a regular sized downrigger clip. Simply attach the clip anywhere on the line you want and drop down.
Hope this helps!

There are some big fish in Sheridan. Used to fish with the family in BC every year as a Kid, Sheridan was one of the stops along with Pavillion and Loon. Good luck up there.

I didn't know that the spoons are available in all those stores. I thought only at Ted's.
I will order some. Thanks again for the info.
