Launched at a park near I-90 at 0700. This was my first outing at Moses so it was a long day of learning for me. Wasted time before the bridge beating the banks with a weightless senko. Decided that a craw rigged punch-style might be better for the thick grass. I used this setup to catch two smallies, a 16" and a 17", each about 20 yards off the banks in 4-6 feet of water. Both were fantastic fighters and overall healthy looking fish. Moses Lake is full of carp and I mean FULL of them! I must have seen 200+ throughout the day. I have no clue how to target them other than with corn which I didn't have unfortunately. Next time!

Bowfishing works best for carp, but worms, corn, eggs, and bread or dough work well, too.

Sounds like a good time, what do you do with the...ahem...expired carp afterwards?

If you want to catch carp with a line you need some 'boilies' or something with scent on a 'hair rig', which puts the bait below the hook. But bowfishing is great fun too! I eat the carp I shoot but you have to take measures to make the bones edible or cut them out.
